Khalid “The Carpet" Ali first started in the early sixties with various bands. He is called “The Carpet” simply because “he covers the groundwork”. A versatile and experienced musician who has sessioned for many local acts including Ramon & the Rollers, Lord Bees, Asia Vision and Y2K locally as well as in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam & Japan. Khalid’s influences include pop, rock, jazz, blues, world music and country.
